Struggling

Dear friend,

Know that no matter how overwhelming your circumstances may feel, our Savior can help you. His word tells us in Ephesians 3:20 that "He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us". You must put your faith and trust in Him. The most important thing you can do is to pray for your daughter and your husband. Also try to be as encouraging to your daughter and husband as you can, with actions and with words. Sometimes I find that when I am discouraged it actually helps to do things to encourage others. As Tracie said, you are certainly not alone. Pornography is a tool that Satan uses to try to destroy many families. I will pray for you and your family as you try to follow what the Lord leads you to do.

Dear Father,

I pray for this precious mother and wife. Please give her Your strength to make it through these trying times in her family. Help her to be a light that reflects Your love to her family and her world. Encourage her as she tries to encourage others. Help her husband to overcome this problem with pornography, and help this daughter to find her identity in You. It is only there that she can find self-esteem and pride. Lord, even though it is hard to grow up without a father figure, help us to remember that You are the only Father we really need. Father, heal this family in a way that only you can.
